Galleon accepts unpublished fiction and poetry and book reviews. Galleon exists primarily, but not solely, to publish those with an Atlantic Canada connection, or stories with an At Can connection. Look on a map, find New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Despite its name, Galleon does not seek to publish stories exclusively about boats. That could make an interesting issue, though.
Galleon has the same standards and expectations of any literary journal. Your submissions should be as error-free as possible and, well, good. We’re looking for contemporary styles, because that is now, not then. Take chances. Surprise the reader.
Fiction: 5000 words maximum.
Poetry: 100 lines maximum.
Payment is one copy of the issue in which you appear. If funding comes, monetary payment should come as well. We are not pirates.
We prefer e-mail submissions attached in either .DOC or .RTF format. Please do not paste the story or poem into the body of the e-mail. Please include your postal address. Please include a small biography. Send your submissions to managing editor Lee Thompson leedthompson (at) gmail.com:
Questions (but not submissions) may also be sent via this neat form:

Are you accepting poetry submissions?
I’d hold off, Melanie, as we are likely going on a hiatus after issue 6 comes out Dec 2018.
